Here's a glimpse of how I buy. I quickly pull out a style of clothing, yesterday it was dresses. I pick labels I'm familiar with because I know they are sized accurately. In this batch: target, old navy, gap, and gymboree. I then lay them out low to high to decide what looks like a good buy. I fell for a paisley Gap dress but noticed a coffee stain. The dark color masked it well, but I asked if they would give a discount. The seller gave it to me for free!
Garage sales are even cheaper but I've found its sometimes hard to find older kids clothing in good condition. Do you shop used? Any tips?
PS I added a new thrifted section to the blog, check it out on the left!
