vintage industrial goods

What a strange and unexpected week! I planned to share these photos on Monday. Then school was canceled Monday and Tuesday due to the bitter cold. I decided to postpone writing to enjoy time with the kids (and honestly temps of -20F call for a good book!)

Last Saturday I met a dear friend for brunch at Cupcake. After breakfast we wandered around the adjacent Art & Architecture (one of my favorite sources of vintage inspiration). Seriously so much rusty treasure to enjoy. It is my go-to shop for antique door knobs, hardware and lights. The upstairs of the building has more to look at (including mid century-esque Spinario and I purchased an awesome brass lamp from Claire Steyaert Antiques.

How was your week? Do you enjoy the industrial look with a bit of rust? I adore it but I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea! Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. What an awesome shop. Before I had kids, I hit up Minneapolis to see friends pretty frequently, but haven't been back long enough to check out salvage shops recently. This would most definitely be on my to do list if I do.
