Our house is all about simple. When we host a party, I make one thing from scratch and the rest is semi-homemade. Today I'm going to share a super-easy pumpkin mix that is kid-friendly and peanut free. Our son has a peanut allergy and my husband has a tree nut allergy. With the exception of almonds we are a nut free household. Most pinterest popcorn recipes call for peanut butter, so I decided to make our own!
Autumn Pumpkin Popcorn Mix
1/2 cup corn and 3 tablespoons oil (modified recipe here)
Pop popcorn in a popper or stovetop with a pot and lid. Salt to taste. Mix popcorn, pretzels, and candy to preference. We used a brown paper bag to shake it up. Chocolate syrup to taste. This is incredibly easy to make and the perfect blend of salty and sweet. And how can one go wrong with candy pumpkins? Happy Autumn!
