encouragement for healthy habits

Developing healthy habits has never been a key personal strength. I recall in college trying to make it to the gym (still a struggle!) And I always look a bit sheepish when the doctor asks what vitamins I currently take. The good news? On average, depending on the habit, it takes 66 days to for a new behavior to become automatic (source). And my friends that is a realistic goal!

One of my challenges with healthy habits is I hyper-focus on the day's tasks and forget details like taking my vitamins. I first spotted Olly Vitamins on the Target shelves a few months ago. One of the reasons I fell for them (nerd designer comment here!) is the packaging. I can happily leave these on our kitchen island and it is an instant reminder to take my vitamins!

I also love that the men's, kids', and women's has the same branding and packaging. My husband and I now remind each other to take our vitamins. And our kids enjoy that they taste like gummies. When asked to describe the kids' vitamins our son said "yum!"

Speaking of our kids, they are picky eaters due to some sensory sensitivities. Making sure their diet is balanced is an ongoing challenge: we sneak in veggies, give them veggie-fruit drinks, and nutritional supplements. Seeing them eat their vitamins helps this Mom have peace of mind.
