I wanted to share one more DIY project here on the blog this week. But doctor's appointments, freelance work, and preparation for Christmas is in full swing. I'll be back next week to share some upcoming goals for 2017 (new projects in the works!!). Until then follow along on Instagram where I share daily stories, Pinterest where I dream of delicious cookies and the perfect kitchen, Facebook where I highlight favorite projects, and Twitter where I say random stuff.
Before I forget....if you are wondering about the cotton wreath. I made the tutorial for it here last winter for Charlotte Home+Garden. This is its second winter, and it is holding up well!
At Christmas particularly, it is a time of feeling like you have to DO ALL THE THINGS. From special events, to traditions, decorating a certain way, getting to that special cookie design. If you are like me it adds a lot of stress to the month of December. So, this is one small way I am letting things go. Instead of a new tutorial I'm sharing favorite random photos from my phone. And I'm 100% okay with that. If you aren't, just skip to the next blog post!
So, in summary:
Go do fun things.
Not because you have to check it off the list, but because you want to. Bake cookies because they taste good. No one is going to judge you for the unmatched stockings on the mantle, or the dust on your bookshelf (if they do they are lame.) Make memories. Care for others, especially the less fortunate. Enjoy the holiday season. And let go of perfectionism. See you next week!
