I went thrift store shopping for Kinsey's birthday. Yes, you read that correctly. I bought her a used toy for her birthday. I promise we bought a few new things too, but I was on the hunt for a vintage fisher price dollhouse.
After hunting through two of my favorite thrift stores, I happened across this 1971 schoolhouse. I knew she would love it. And for under $8 it included desks, students, a teacher desk, a teacher and a few playground pieces.
I have several reasons for loving vintage fisher-price. They don't use batteries. They have multiple purposes: the schoolhouse includes characters, a chalkboard, and an alphabet letter tray. And if they've survived 40 years chances are they are going to live another 10.
