Last weekend we snuck away for a mini-vacation. A family graciously offered for us to stay in their cabin a few hours from the Cities. It was a sweet getaway for our little family. I left my laptop at home and unplugged for a few days. It was our first time visiting Northwest Wisconsin and it was beautiful.
The nearby town had a small movie theater. The kids sat through their first (movie theater) movie, Frozen, and we all liked it! We slid around on the lakes' ice and played a lot of board games. I visited a few local antique stores and we enjoyed lunch at Burnett Dairy.
Lee and I enjoy taking pictures and it was fun to see the kids mimic us and ask for the camera when they saw something interesting. The slower pace of life was refreshing. So thankful for the family time.
