A few weeks ago I stopped by two estate sales. The first sale was quite organized. And the second sale was overflowing with things. The basement was dark and items were piled to the ceiling. I unearthed several books and vintage children's toys. And I spotted these vintage stamps in a bag marked $4.
The collection includes numbers, fractions, punctuation, and uppercase/lowercase alphabet letters (it would be a complete set if we had an A). From what I have read they were likely used for signage.
The kids loved stamping their names and numbers. It turned into a fun exercise of hunting for letters and spelling words. I'm already thinking of projects we can use these with (birthday favors, artwork, homemade cards..)
Friends frequently ask how I decide what to sell on Etsy. I usually have an easy enough time dividing what I want to keep for our family vs what I sell at the shop. But I have to be honest, I purchased these stamps to sell and I think they are keepers. At least for now!
Do you have any creative storage ideas? My husband has a collection of empty cigar boxes. I may have to borrow a few!
