Along with much of the United States, we spent the first few days indoors. It has been a cold week with several days in the negatives. Thankfully my Mom has been visiting this week! We played a lot of board games, card games, and yesterday we tried a new craft project.
I gathered a bundle of branches, twigs and leaves from the backyard. Laid out kraft paper, paint brushes, and a little white tempura paint. I encouraged our kids to experiment.
This craft was inspired by a project in Handmade Winter. The ebook is filled with sewing projects, recipes, and creative crafts made by friends including Lacy of Living on Love and Amy of Maker Mama. Our four and six year old loved the mess and the sticks and leaves turned out beautifully. A fun craft for an indoor winter afternoon!
