Our furniture arrived to our new home this week! My husband's parents visited for a few days to help settle in. We have an (empty) formal dining room and it has been the perfect place to organize and unpack boxes. Our vintage accessories are still in boxes and I realize it will take time for our new house to authentically feel like home.
Last night I purchased small succulents from Lowes and placed them in a few of my Poppytalk dessert cups on the kitchen table. So simple it really doesn't need a tutorial. And I love the color and personality it adds to our kitchen.
It is amazing how a few small plants on the breakfast table really do make a space feel like home. They could also work as a party favor or small housewarming gift. Have you moved recently? Do you have any suggestions for quickly making a space your own?
