What is life like for us at the end of age 8?
We are playing soccer after school this fall. The doctors suggested individual sports will be better for you. And maybe they are right. But I am so glad we've tried soccer this year. You show real talent and enjoy playing with your classmates!
You ask interesting questions and have deep thoughts. Often related to Minecraft designs and sometimes about politics, weather, and science too.
You've gained a lot of confidence in reading these past few months. People comment on how expressive you are when you read! Dog Man is your current favorite.
You have an excellent memory when it comes to the news and things Mommy says. You are quick to defend your family when you think there's been an injustice.
I'm proud of you for recently trying grapes and colby jack cheese and rice; though you still prefer plain bagels, cinnamon toast, and applesauce. You get frustrated when Mcdonald's switches the McFlurries to Panthers M&Ms.
Blankie is still very special to you. We understand but encourage you to keep it at home as you get older.
Last weekend was busy. And I worried it was too much. But Sunday night you exclaimed with hand motions, "It flew by! Weekends fly by when we aren't bored!"
You have amazing dance moves. And impressive hula-hooping skill. Board game-family time is going well, so long as the rules are clear and everyone abides by them.
Saturdays are for visits to game and comic book stores with Daddy. I'm glad you two have that time together.
You love God without doubt. When I ask you what you'd like to pray about, thankfulness for blankie is still first on your list.
You are interested in becoming a police officer and helping direct traffic. And I think it could be a great fit for you.
*I read this post to Bryce out loud before I published. He approved.
