This is my second year printing Christmas postcards with Minted and I can't wait to share them with you! I'm a designer, and am particular when it comes to photographs and printing. I completely trust in Minted's printing quality and paper thickness. And they also send a proof before they print, which I love. They also have a huge selection of high-quality designs made by graphic designers. And if you choose to create a traditional card with envelope--they include custom envelopes and free recipient address printing.
I always have a hard time narrowing down my options when there are so many good designs to pick from! This year I saved a few different design options with our family photo and it was really easy to refer back to them when deciding with my husband.
Why a Holiday Postcard?
You may wonder why we pick holiday postcards over a traditional card with envelope. We love both! But in our family we usually make a postcard because it is unexpected and unique (and cheaper on postage too...) Just keep in mind that a postcard won't be in an envelope so if you add text on the back don't make it too personal. This year we opted to include another family photo on the back of the postcard. The color photo on the back was included in the price of the card!
We picked a foil-pressed postcard design, which I definitely recommend. There are often a range of color background options within a design so you can pick a color that works well with your family photo.
