Welcome to my office! This is where I spend the majority of my day. Like most rooms, my office acts as a flex-space. Sometimes it is an extra bedroom for guests (the grey couch folds out) and our kids also do their homework here in the evening.
When I think of my office I think "eh!" Its not awful, but definitely not energizing either. This was next on my list after we finished the Master Bathroom and I can't wait to get started! Below I'm going to share a little inspiration, colors, and a swatch of our new carpet (arriving next week, woohoo!)
I love the picture above. I ripped it out of an Anthropologie catalog and it has stuck with me. I love the idea of a soft coral color--not too pink and not too orange.
Okay, so here we are now. I didn't spend time cleaning up because I wanted to show the real-deal. I'm not great with organization so I tend to pile my projects on the floor and pull them up to my desk when I am focusing on a certain client. Hopefully someday I can improve on that, but for now I've accepted it about myself :)
Below is my list of planned office improvements! The ceiling fan is TBD, I love expensive fixtures and am still on the hunt for an affordable/nicely designed model. Message me if you have ideas! This isn't really a complete overhaul. I am keeping my vintage tanker desk, IKEA shelving, and CB2 sofa. But I think the little improvements to the space are really going to make a big impact!

Planned Office Improvements:
Coral Wall color (more below)
Modern ceiling fan
Large artwork over couch
Oversized pillows on couch
Swap out curtains to match new paint
A quick swatch of our new carpet from Home Depot: LifeProof Gorrono Ranch in the color Hamlet. I picked it because it has a good warranty, and is made with 50% BCF Triextra so it won't shed as much as a traditional polyester carpet. We are really looking forward to upgrading our downstairs carpet from the contractor quality we currently have!
Now for paint! I LOVE paint. Last fall Sherwin-Williams sent me the Color SNAP Pro Suite. It was really useful in narrowing down paint colors for our bathroom, and I'm looking forward to using it with this project!
In my next post I'll share my favorite 4 blush/coral pinks and would love your help in narrowing it down!
A special thank you to Sherwin-Williams for providing paint for the final reveal!
