World Market is the perfect place to prep for an Autumn-themed waffle bar! When I visited my local store: Charlotte, NC Belgate (find your local store here) I was thrilled they had all the entertaining essentials I needed plus a lot of fun fall decorations!  Plus don’t forget the pumpkin and apple flavors like pumpkin spice syrup and apple butter syrup.

Maple Cinnamon Apples

3-4 Medium Apples, Sliced (I used Pink Lady)
2 Tablespoons Butter
1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Melt butter and sauté apples over medium heat about 5 minutes stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Add maple syrup and cinnamon, stir. Serve warm.

Chopped Bacon

8oz of Bacon (half of a 16oz Package)

Slice bacon in half before laying pieces in a cold cast iron skillet. Cook bacon on medium/medium high heat, turning temperature down as needed to prevent burning. Flip until both sides are brown and cooked well. Cool then chop or break into small pieces.

Whipped Cream

1 Pint Whipping Cream
2 Tablespoons Powdered Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla

Beat whipping cream in mixer until peaks form and cream doesn’t drip off the whisk. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla.

Creating a Waffle Bar Area

Now that the toppings and waffles have been prepped. It is time for my favorite part!! Lay out your waffle bar on a large table. I chose my dining room but a kitchen island could work well too. Kraft paper works great as a casual tablecloth and the color goes well with autumn decor. The raw-edge wood paddle makes a nice, long display for stacked waffles. And I love these textured bowls for displaying the bacon, whipped cream, and maple apple toppings. And don’t forget autumn decor! The wool pumpkin is endearing and goes well with the pumpkin garland.
