It is almost summer at our house (1 more week of school!) and goodness things are busy. I wanted to pop in for a minute and share some home projects we are working on.
For Mother's Day my husband surprised me with new bar stools at our island! In April we had leathered granite installed and the second tier of our island was removed. Originally I had planned for 3 barstools at the island, but after their grandparents visited (4 adults at the regular table) and 2 kids at the island--it worked out perfectly!
Lee found the barstools at Homegoods while shopping with our 8 year old, and I have since also spotted the barstools online here. They have a solid wood seat that matches our tan leather sectional, and the dark metal base matches our pendant light in the breakfast nook.
Behind the scenes I just finished painting our son Bryce's bedroom on Monday!
I LOVE the new color, and I'm also thankful I don't have any upcoming paint projects in the next few months ;) I tend to loose momentum after painting the first 3 walls....
I will share ALL the pictures next week of his room reveal! Until then check out his sister's room I just completed. Her mint ceiling fan with blue-gray paint is really pretty together!
Finally, I am taking 2 work trips this summer! Honestly summer is easier for me to travel because I'm not planning around our kids' homework, field trips, and after school activities. So I'm going with it!
Early June I am going to meet with Pinterest at a gathering for Content Creators. It will be my first time in San Fransisco and I really look forward to it! Then in July I am going to Charleston, SC for a conference focused on DIY/Home bloggers called the Haven.
I wear a lot of Target & Old Navy clothes. Fine for everyday! But realized I need some nicer clothes too for all these trips. I started using Stitchfix again--and was really pleased with my first box last month! Sign up for Stitchfix here and get $25 off!
